Description

This article describes how to add a new SSL certificate to the SVM (Management Service) on NetScaler SDX.

Background

There are three separate components involved when working with the SDX:

  • XenServer which is a hypervisor.

  • Service Virtual Machine (SVM) which is a management instance automatically created by the SDX.

  • Instances.

Adding SSL certificates to NetScaler instances is similar to adding SSL certificates to VPX or hardware device. However, adding an SSL certificate to the SVM is a different process.

Instructions

Complete the following steps to add an SSL certificate to SVM:

  1. Use WinSCP to connect to the SVM.

  7. Enter a password in the Password field (if necessary) and click OK.

  8. The SVM will require a reboot to finish.
Note: Rebooting the SVM does NOT reboot all the instances on the device.

  9. After reboot, log on to the SVM GUI and view the new certificate.
