Introduction
Secure Mail Test Tool is designed to help troubleshoot the ActiveSync servers for their readiness to be deployed with XenMobile environment. This tool can be used specifically for ensuring the proper functioning of the Secure Mail application.
The Secure Mail Test Tool should be run against the Exchange/Lotus server and the test user credential to ensure that there are no issues. When there are issues, it provides a comprehensive list of recommendations for rectifying the issues.
After running the Secure Mail Test Tool against ActiveSync sever, Secure Mail communication with ActiveSync server occurs without any problem if the test application reports everything as green.

Secure Mail Test Tool Features

Platform and Availability
The Secure Mail Test Tool is available for iOS platform (iPhone and iPad) and supports testing of explicit username authentication as well as client cert authentication environments. It simulates Active Sync communication for both iOS and Android platforms.
The Secure Mail Test Tool (.ipa) should be wrapped using the customer provisioning profile with the latest Wrapper tool available under Citrix Downloads and deliver it to the iOS devices via XenMobile server. The procedure for wrapping this app is exactly same as wrapping Citrix Secure Mail application. For details refer to CTX200971. Also the MDX Policies for the Secure Mail Test Tool should be configured exactly same as that of Secure Mail.
Once the app is installed on the device, enter the exchange server FQDN and credentials and tap on “Diagnose” button to start the tests. The credentials can be ignored if the environment is “Cert based Authentication”.

Uninstalling Secure Mail Test Tool
- Press and hold the Secure Mail Test Tool icon on your home screen until the icon begins to move back and forth.
- Tap the X in the upper left corner of the icon.
- When prompted, tap Delete.
Known Issue
When installing the Mail test app on a device running iOS 10, you may notice a warning about slow performance. This warning message can be ignored as it will not affect the results of the Mail Test App.
