Description

GoToMeeting is opened in a XenDesktop session with two monitors. When the screen is shared within the session, the mouse cursor disappears completely from the XenDesktop screen.

Note: If using one monitor only, the cursor does not disappear but it blinks constantly. This issue was observed on the IGEL UD5 Series with the latest firmware.

Resolution

A permanent solution can be found by enabling Software Cursor on the IGEL thin clients in the registry, specifically x.xserver0.sw_cursor.

User-added image

A workaround to the issue on the VDA side is to enable Display pointer trails. See CTX133012 - Mouse Pointer Moves Erratically When you Launch GotoMeeting to Share the Screen in a Virtual Desktop Agent using a Macintosh Client for more information.

However, this might cause the mouse to move slower outside the GoToMeeting screen.

Problem Cause

The issue occurs because of the graphics setting on the IGEL client.

Issue/Introduction
