Slow Application Enumeration while Logging in through Web Interface

Description
Application enumeration is slow in XenApp, and takes 10-15 seconds to complete when logging in through Web Interface.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, disable NetBios over TCP/IP on the Web Interface Server and on the XenApp Server. Complete one of the following procedure for the relevant environment:
For Windows Server 2008

Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

In Network and Internet, click View network status and tasks.

Click Change adapter settings.

Right-click Local Area Connection > Properties.

In the This connection uses the following items list, double-click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), click Advanced > WINS tab.

Click Disable NetBios over TCP/IP, and then click OK thrice.
For Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and Windows 2000

On the desktop, right-click My Network Places, then click Properties.

Right-click Local Area Connection, then click Properties.

In the Components checked are used by this connection list, double-click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), click Advanced > WINS tab.
Note: In Windows XP and in Windows Server 2003, you must double-click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in the This connection uses the following items list. -
Click Disable NetBios over TCP/IP, and then click OK thrice.
Problem Cause
The NetBios requests cause the delay in the Application Enumeration. The issue can be isolated by analyzing the Network Monitor Traces in which each NetBios request takes around 2 seconds to complete and there are many NetBios requests submitted.Issue/Introduction
