Description

In Desktop Director, the following message is displayed in Internet Explorer:

“Stop running this script? A script on this page is causing your web browser to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer might become unresponsive.”

Note: This can occur when you have a high number of Desktop Groups created.

Environment

Caution! Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that might require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. Be sure to back up the registry before you edit it.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, refer to Error message: "A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly".


Problem Cause

When running scripts in Internet Explorer, the default threshold limit for the time-out dialog box (containing the message under Symptom) is 5,000,000 script statements for Internet Explorer 4 and later.
