Description
When you switch between Aero and Non-aero themes within a Virtual Desktop session, the mouse pointer movement becomes slow.
Environment
Caution! Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that might require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. Be sure to back up the registry before you edit it.
Resolution
A workaround for this issue is to disable themes from changing mouse pointers.
Method 1
Complete the following steps:

Log on to the Virtual Desktop Agent (VDA) and click Control Panel.

Select Hardware and Sound.

Select Mouse.

Click the Pointers tab.

Ensure the option Allow themes to change mouse pointers is cleared, as shown in the following screen shot:

Click OK. Disconnect and reconnect to the session and attempt to reproduce the issue.
Method 2

For each user, change the value of HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes\ThemeChangesMousePointers from 1 to 0.Issue/Introduction
