This article describes how to install the XenServer 6.0 Supplemental Pack for NetScaler SDX.

Background

• The Supplemental Pack for NetScaler SDX must be installed for Layer 2 and Virtual Macintosh when using NetScaler software release 10.0.
• The Supplemental Pack must be installed for system health monitoring support when using NetScaler software release 9.3 57.x.
• The Supplemental Pack contains updated igb-modules, ixgbe-modules, and iovirt plugins.

Instructions

Note: You must restart the appliance after completing this procedure.

To install the Supplemental Pack for NetScaler SDX, complete the following tasks:

1. Log on to XenServer as a root user.

2. Run the following command to ensure that the XenServer 6.0 is installed on the server:
   [root@netscaler-sdx ~]# uname –r
   2.6.32.12-0.7.1.xs6.0.0.529.170661xen

3. Download the Supplemental Pack for NetScaler SDX from the Citrix Download page.

4. Upload the Supplemental Pack for NetScaler SDX to the /root (Dom0) directory on the server.

5. Run the following command to install the pack on the server:
   [root@netscaler-sdx ~]# xe-install-supplemental-pack xs-netscaler-6.0.0-2.6.32.12-0.7.1.xs6.0.0.529.170661-100002.iso

6. Type Y to continue with the installation:
   Warning: 'XenServer NetScaler Integration' is already installed, do you want to continue? (Y/N) Y
   Note: This warning does not appear for a fresh installation.
