When you install Desktop Studio by itself on a remote server, that is, without the controller role installed locally, the first time you start the Desktop Studio Console, you are prompted to select which Desktop Delivery Controller (DDC) you want to connect, as displayed in the following screen shot:
Note: You can reconfigure this to point to a different DDC.
Close the Desktop Studio console.
Browse to C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\MMC
Where <Username> is the name of the account you are using.
Delete or rename the DesktopStudio file.
Start the Desktop Studio console. You will be prompt again to enter the DDC.
Note: In XenDesktop 7.x, the file name is Studio.
You will not find any reference to the DDC if you open the DesktopStudio file using notepad. This information is stored in the file as a Base64 encoded binary entry.
