This article describes how to use XSConsole to update the Management Interface.


Instructions

 
  1. From the XenServer command line, use the following command to go into the Configuration:
    xsconsole

  2. Select Network and Management Interfaces. It tells you the current Management Interface, which is Network 0 or eth0. Then press Enter.

  3. Select Configure Management Interface and press Enter.

  4. Enter the Username and Password of the XenServer.

  5. Select the physical interface that you want to change which is eth1 and press Enter.

  6. Select DHCP, DHCP with Manually Assigned Hostname, or Static IP address. This example has Static selected.

  7. Enter the IP address, Netmask, Gateway, and Hostname, and press Enter.
