The following Citrix ICA Client Error occurs:

"50: Cannot Connect to Server <IP/Hostname>"

Resolution

Complete the following steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Check the Server’s Event Viewer Logs for Information.
  2. Resolve the Client configuration/networking issue.
  3. Resolve the Terminal Server Licensing issue.
  4. Refer to CTX564283 – Troubleshooting 1003 and 1004 Terminal Server Licensing Errors.

    Problem Cause

    The error is generic and might occur due to multiple causes. The most common causes are the following:

    • Invalid Client Configuration.
    • Invalid Network Environment.
      For example, having an IP Address on the Client that cannot route packets to the Server that is defined.
    • Terminal Services Licensing.
