This article is a summary of the top support articles related to updating, install and migration of Citrix environments including Controllers and VDA. The most commonly used support articles and guides are below.

(Starting with Version 2003, the VDA has a built-in uninstaller)

When errors occur during an upgrade from an earlier version of the VDA, When unexpected behavior or performance is experienced after an upgrade from an earlier VDA. If a VDA upgrade is not possible due to feature incompatibility and a clean uninstall is required. The VDA cleanup utility removes components, files, and registry values of VDA 5.6 and later

 

This tool is designed to help automate the migration of Virtual Apps and Desktop configuration (such as policies, applications, machine catalogs, and others) from one or more On-Premises site(s) to the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop service (CVADs) hosted on Citrix Cloud. It can also be used to migrate information between different Cloud regions or tenants. The migration can be performed in stages by executing the tool multiple times, allowing administrators to easily achieve the desired configuration state.
