Overview of the Issue

NetScaler is made available as a Maintenance Phase release on which existing features are maintained on newer build numbers. NetScaler is also available as a different Feature Phase release (with a higher major version number). The Feature Phase release can include the introduction of new features and capabilities. The process of upgrading NetScaler can either be to the next major version number or to a newer build of the version that is already installed. The general configuration of NetScaler will use either Classic or Advanced configuration methods, with some enhanced capabilities becoming available with the newer Advanced method. See the following links and articles to help prevent or solve some of the common problems experienced when upgrading NetScaler or when performing general configuration tasks.
