 Where to Find Documentation
This document describes the issue(s) resolved by this release and includes installation instructions. For additional product information, including system requirements, see Citrix Workspace app 1912 for Windows on the Citrix Product Documentation site.

Important Note(s)
  • This release is based on the Citrix Workspace app for Windows 1912. Any known issues in Version 19.12.7000 of the product, except for the specific issues resolved in this release, still apply.
  • Caution! This upgrade does not patch the existing installation - it fully replaces it with a new installation. As a result, uninstalling this package removes the entire component from the computer. If the need arises to revert to an earlier version of the product, you must uninstall this package and then reinstall the earlier version of the product. Reverting to an earlier version of the product might result in the loss of settings you configure while this upgrade is installed.
  • Caution! This release may require you to edit the registry. Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.

New Fixes in This Release
  1. When you start sharing the screen during a Microsoft Teams optimized call, a white screen might appear. [CVADHELP-17840]
  2. HDX optimized Microsoft Teams honors the values of echo cancellation, auto gain control, and noise suppression that are pre-configured by Microsoft Teams (set to True by default).
The default settings can be overridden by setting the following registry keys on the endpoint:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Citrix\HDXMediaStream
Name: EnableAEC
Name: EnableAGC
Name: EnableNS

Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 1 to enable (default) and 0 to disable

On some low-powered Thin Clients (like Dell Wyse 3040 or 5070), the echo cancellation feature can cause high CPU which will eventually lead to robotic audio. Setting EnableAEC to 0 will reduce CPU consumption and audio will be intelligible again.
In this scenario, users are advised to connect headsets with built-in echo cancellation.

The other two settings (EnableAGC and EnableNS) should not be changed to 0, unless you are troubleshooting audio problems.
