Windows 11 VDA: System tray speaker icon shows a red 'X' with 'No Audio Device Found' error, Citrix Audio redirection is not working

The Citrix Audio Redirection Service is in a Stopped state. Manual attempts to start the service fail with the following system error:

Windows could not start the Citrix Audio Redirection Service. Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

The "N" editions of Windows exclude multimedia components by default.

Windows 11 Pro N is a regional edition (sold in Europe) that ships without Windows Media Feature Pack.

Install the Media Feature Pack on master image and update the MCS catalog.

Steps to install Media Feature Pack

1. Press Windows + I to open Settings.
2. Go to Apps → Optional features.
3. Under Add an optional feature, select View features.
4. In the search box, type Media Feature Pack.
5. Check Media Feature Pack from the results.
6. Select Next → Install.
7. After installation completes, restart the VDA to finish the setup
