Profile Management status appears unmonitored, blank, or disabled in the WEM administration console.
Issue persists despite having both the WEM Agent and Citrix Profile Management (CPM) installed on the target server hosts.
Environment uses a hybrid architecture with CVAD 2507 or CVAD 2402 LTSR.
WEM treats Profile Management as inactive by default until the corresponding configuration policies, enablement toggles, and user store paths are explicitly defined and processed within the active WEM Configuration Set.
To reveal and restore the Profile Management status in WEM, follow these steps to verify and force policy application:
Open the WEM Administration Console.
Navigate to Policies and Profiles > Citrix Profile Management Settings.
Under the Main Settings, ensure Enable Profile Management Configuration is selected.
Verify that Enable Profile Management is explicitly checked and a valid user store path is defined.
On the target machine, right-click the WEM Agent tray icon and select Refresh Agent Host Settings.
Alternatively (via Console): In the WEM console, navigate to Administration > Agents, right-click the target server, and select Refresh Agent Host Settings.
On the affected server, open regedit.
Navigate to:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Citrix\UserProfileManager
Verify that WEM has pushed the settings and created keys such as PathToUserStore and EngineActive (set to 1).
Navigate to C:\Windows\Temp\ on the target machine.
Open UPMConfigCheckOutput.xml.
Review the XML log for specific warnings, missing directory permissions, or service blocks preventing CPM from reporting its status.
In hybrid Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) environments running versions 2507 or 2402 LTSR, the Workspace Environment Management (WEM) console fails to report Citrix Profile Management (CPM) status. This occurs even when both the WEM Agent and CPM components are installed on the target servers.
