Local Client Behavior: The Chinese input method editor (IME) functions perfectly on the local endpoint.

Endpoint Configuration: Local Control Panel settings for region, time, and language have been verified as correct.

Version Isolation: The defect is specific to CWA 2603. The issue does not occur, and input works normally, when using older versions such as CWA 2511 and 2508.
Cause
Legacy versions of Citrix Workspace App (CWA) for Windows loosely tolerated misconfigured Client IME settings. While the feature would still launch under the incorrect configuration, it caused an unstable user experience with Microsoft Pinyin IME, leading to misaligned candidate/composing windows and distorted font sizes.
Modern releases of CWA for Windows have deprecated support for this legacy-tolerant behavior. To align with updated architectural and security standards, an explicit policy configuration is now strictly enforced. Without this formal policy definition, the Client IME feature will fail to initialize correctly.
Resolution
We need to add below policies in order to fix the issue:-

Citrix Studio Policy: Ensure the "Client Keyboard Layout Sync and IME Improvement" and "Enable unicode keyboard layout mapping" policy is enabled for the VDAs hosting your virtual applications.

Citrix Workspace App Configuration: Within the Citrix Workspace settings on the client side, set the option to "Allow dynamic sync" to correctly utilize the Client IME.
Issue/Introduction
Following an upgrade to Citrix Workspace App (CWA) version 2603, regional users are unable to use Chinese language keyboard inputs within their XenApp sessions. The issue is consistently reproducible across the entire region but is strictly confined to the Citrix session layer.
