The user is using Session Recording to record Citrix sessions.
However, when playing back the recorded session in the Session Recording Player, the video is heavily corrupted with graphical artifacts. The playback displays severe screen distortion and is not viewable.
The issue was caused by an outdated version of the Session Recording Player, while the user was using a newer version of Citrix Workspace App (CWA).
Since Session Recording playback relies on graphics rendering and video decoding, compatibility between component versions is important. A version mismatch between the Session Recording Player and CWA can result in playback corruption.
After upgrading the Session Recording Player to a version compatible with the deployed Citrix components, the playback issue was resolved.
To avoid compatibility issues, we recommend keeping the versions of the following Citrix components aligned whenever possible:
The recording video becomes corrupted with severe graphical artifacts.
