Description

Why this is happening

As part of routine data cleanup, maintenance, and hygiene activities, Citrix periodically removes:

  • Inactive ORG IDs
  • ORG IDs with no active transactions or usage

If a cloud account is still linked to one of these inactive ORG IDs, it is flagged and marked for deactivation.

What customers should do

The appropriate action depends on whether the cloud account is still needed:

1. Cloud account is not in use

  • No action is required.
  • The alert can be safely ignored.

2. Cloud account is in use and must be retained

  • Customers must contact Citrix Customer Support.
  • Request that the cloud account be moved to an active ORG ID.

Support will validate the request and assist with associating the account to a valid ORG ID.

Self‑service option for new cloud accounts

As part of a recent enhancement, customers can now self‑service the creation and onboarding of new Citrix Cloud accounts. For more information, see the Citrix Cloud documentation: https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-cloud/overview/signing-up-for-citrix-cloud/account-management#create-a-citrix-cloud-account

This option is recommended for customers who prefer to create and manage a new cloud account independently rather than migrating an existing one.

Citrix Service Provider (CSP) Multi-Tenant Accounts

As a Citrix Service provider, if you or any of your Multi-tenant customers have received Citrix Cloud Account deactivation email from Citrix, please ignore it. Citrix will consolidate your Multi-Tenant accounts within your parent OrgID and there will be no impact to the MT customers.

Issue/Introduction

Some customers may see a critical alert indicating that their Citrix Cloud account will be deactivated due to an invalid Organization ID (ORG ID). This occurs when the cloud account is associated with an ORG ID that is no longer active or valid. This alert does not indicate an immediate service outage - however action is required to avoid future impacts.
