1. Verify LDAPS configuration on Domain controllers

  • Check the configuration of LDAPS on every domain controllers.
  • Ensure that the following are properly set up:
    • SSL certificates for LDAPS are correctly installed and valid.
    • The LDAPS service is running and accessible.
    • The domain controllers are reachable from the Scout Server.

3. Update Scout Board configuration

  • If needed, update the LDAPS settings in Scout Board's configuration files or user authentication settings:
    • Ensure the correct domain controller addresses and ports are specified.
    • Verify that the certificates used by Scout are trusted by the domain controllers.

5. Restart Scout services

  • After correcting any LDAPS configuration issues, restart the following services:
    • Scout Board
    • Scout Board DBLayer

Resolution

The error "A system error has occurred. Please contact your administrator" on the Scout Board may result from LDAPS access issues. Verify the LDAPS setup on domain controllers, test connectivity, and ensure proper configuration in Scout Board. Restart the necessary services after making any changes.
