  1. Restart Scout Board Services:

    • Open Task Manager on your server.
    • Navigate to the Services tab.
    • Locate the services named ScoutBoard and ScoutBoardDBLayer.
    • Right-click each service and select Restart.

  2. Retry login:

    • After restarting these services, try logging into Scout Board again.

Cause

This error can occur if there is an issue with the ScoutBoard and ScoutBoardDBLayer services on the server. Additionally, a bug in the current version may cause the DBLayer service to lose its connection to the database. After this disconnect, all subsequent requests may fail due to this issue. The bug is fixed in the latest version of Scout. 

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to log into Scout Board, you may encounter the error message:

Registration not possible. User management in Scout is not activated!
