Step 1: Open Firefox Configuration

1. In the Firefox address bar, type about:config and press Enter.
2. Accept any warning messages about changing advanced settings.

Step 2: Update DNS Configuration

1. In the search bar, type network.dns.localDomains.
2. If the setting does not already exist, create a new entry:
   • Right-click anywhere on the configuration page and select New > String.
   • Name the new string network.dns.localDomains.
3. Set the value of network.dns.localDomains to the name of your machine.

Step 3: Restart Firefox

1. Close and reopen the Firefox browser for the changes to take effect.
2. Retry the mirroring process in Scout Board.

This issue is related to the browser's DNS settings. Firefox may not correctly resolve the local domain name of your machine, causing the mirroring to fail.

When using the Firefox browser to mirror a device via Scout Board, you may encounter a dark screen instead of the expected display.

• This configuration ensures that Firefox can correctly resolve your machine's local domain, allowing for proper mirroring.
• If the problem persists, ensure that the machine name is correctly entered and that no DNS conflicts exist in your network settings.
