Description

1. Customer create two different Machine Catalogs. One is existing mode(Creation Manually), another is MCS mode.

2. Adding one VM from MCS Machine Catalog to the Delivery group.

3. Choose the Delivery Group and click "Add VM"

4. Warning pops out: There is no available machines in a compatible Machine Catalog.

Cause

The Catalog types are different of these two Machine Catalog. Delivery Group only accepts same Machine Catalog type.

Here are the check points:

  • Min-Function Level
  • Remote PC
  • Allocation Type (Static / Random)
  • Session Support (Single / Multiple)
  • Provisioning Model (MCS / PVS / Manual)
  • Persist user changes (Discard / On Local)

Resolution

Create a new Delivery Group to add the VMs based on MCS Machine Catalog.

Issue/Introduction

Cannot add VMs from different catalog to the same delivery group, waring with "There is no available machines in a compatible Machine Catalog. You must create a new Machine Catalog or add machines to an existing one."
