Description

When multiple administrators have the same configuration window open, the Scout Console may block access to prevent conflicts.
Additionally, if the Scout database is locked in SQL Server Management Studio, the console cannot load configuration data, resulting in an error.

Cause

The error is typically caused by another concurrent Scout Console session using the same configuration window or by a locked Scout database preventing configuration access.

Resolution

  • Check for concurrent sessions

    • Ensure no other administrators have Device Configuration or related windows open.

    • In the Scout Console, navigate to File > Console Management and close all other active console sessions.

  • Verify database lock status

    • Open SQL Server Management Studio and confirm that the Scout database is not locked.

    • If locked, release the lock to restore proper access.
