Steps to enable USB stick in RDP session
- Open Scout console:
- Navigate to your Scout Console and locate the RDP application.
- Configure RDP application properties
- Right-click on the RDP application and select Properties
- Go to Advanced options and select Local resources
- Drive mapping:
- Enable for e.x. Drive 1, and any other relevant drive checkboxes.
- Specify mount path:
- In the field provided, enter the path /media/usbdisk
This path allows the RDP session to access USB devices connected to the client.

- Save and reboot:
- Save your changed in the Scout Console
- Reboot the device(s) to apply the new configuration.
Issue/Introduction
To allow a USB stick to be recognized in an RDP session, specific configurations need to be set in the Scout Console for the RDP application. Without these settings, USB drives may not appear in the remote session.
