Option 1: Using OU filters

1. Enable OU filtering:

   • In Scout Console, go to:
     Options → Advanced Options → Assign OU for devices depending on OU filter.

2. Define filter rules:

   • Specify the eLux versions or configurations to filter, such as:
     • ELUX_OSVERSION=6.2 (moves all devices with eLux 6.2, including 6.2302...).
     • ELUX_OSVERSION=6.2. (restricts the filter to older versions like 6.2... but excludes newer versions).
   • Example: To filter based on image naming, use:
     • ELUX_IDF=your-image-name.idf.

3. Apply the filters:

   • Restart all devices for the rules to take effect:
     • Navigate to All Devices, select all devices (Ctrl + A), and click Restart.
   • Alternatively, schedule a restart at a specific time.

Option 2: Using Scout Report Generator

1. Generate a Report:

   • Go to View → Report... in Scout Console.
   • Create a new report by navigating to File → New Report.

2. Set Up Report layout:

   • Add the following columns to the report:
     • MAC Address, Name, and OS Version.
   • Apply filters to target specific device versions or configurations.

3. Export and Modify:

   • Export the report as an Excel file.
   • Open the file in Excel and:
     • Rename the OS Version column to your quarantine OU.
   • Save the modified file as a .csv.

4. Import devices:

   • In Scout Console, go to:
     File → Import Devices.
   • Perform a Dry Run to validate the changes.
   • After confirming the dry run, proceed with the import to move the devices.
