Details

  • Issue:

    • Default shortcuts such as CTRL+Win (taskbar access) and Win+Alt+I (client info window) may interfere with user workflows.

    • The "Show Desktop" button on the taskbar may also be unnecessary in some environments.

  • Disable CTRL+Win (Taskbar access):

    • Navigate to Advanced File Entries in Scout Console.

    • Add entry in /setup/terminal.ini:

    • Default value: <Control>Super_L.

  • Disable Win+Alt+I (Client info window):

    • Navigate to Advanced File Entries in Scout Console.

    • Add entry in /setup/terminal.ini:

    • Default value: <Super_L><Alt>i.

  • Alternate Key Combinations:

    • Win+Alt+c → Opens Control Panel (right-hand side).

    • Ctrl+Alt+Up/Down → Switches between active applications.

  • Disable "Show Desktop" Button:

    • In Scout Console, go to Device configuration → Desktop tab → Advanced.

    • Disable the Show Desktop icon.

  • Notes:

    • Apply changes to specific devices or entire OUs as needed.

    • Always test configurations on a single device before deploying widely.

Issue/Introduction

eLux devices include predefined key combinations and a "Show Desktop" button on the taskbar. Administrators may wish to disable or customize these shortcuts (e.g., CTRL+Win, Win+Alt+I) or remove the "Show Desktop" icon to better fit organizational requirements.
