Description

Users may experience application crashes in a desktop session running on Virtual Delivery Agent 2507 when installed on Windows 11 24H2 after changing DPI scaling settings within the session due to changes in the Windows display APIs in the 24H2 build.  This issue is being investigated by Citrix engineering.

Cause

Engineering is investigating changes to the Windows display APIs in Windows 11 24H2

Resolution

Citrix engineering is working on addressing this issue, however it should again be noted that changing DPI within the HDX session on the VDA is not a supported workflow. Customers are advised to change the DPI scaling on their endpoint device, and allow DPI matching to handle the change in the desktop session.

This article will be update when more information on a code fix is available.

Issue/Introduction

Users may experience application crashes in a desktop session running on Virtual Delivery Agent 2507 when installed on Windows 11 24H2 after changing display settings.

Users should only change DPI settings on endpoint and use DPI matching to reflect these settings in session.
