New user profiles are not being created, and user settings are not retained when using Nutanix Files as the user profile store.
Below exception is logged in the Citrix UPM logs.
ERROR; ;MigrateLocalProfileToUserStore: Copy the registry hive file failed! Aborting...
ERROR; ;MigrateLocalProfileToUserStore: Migrating a local profile was not successful. Finished deleting the user store.
Cause
Due to the Nutanix file screening policy blocking the .dat file extension, the NTUser.DAT file could not be copied to the Citrix user profile store
Resolution
Remove the "*.dat" from the Nutanix block file types policy
