Description

End users may experience a scenario where published Chromium based browsers (eg Chrome and Edge) launched in a double-hop from a Published Desktop can suddenly appear in the foreground even when they are behind local applications.

  • Published browsers are launched from a Windows 10 published desktop, but not from a Windows 11 desktop.
  • At least a small portion of the published browser is visible
  • The end user was working on another published app
  • The end user moves the mouse over a visible hyperlink but does not click it, eg when moving the mouse from one screen to another.
  • Chromium based browser will appear in the foreground above all local applications, but will still remain behind any published applications running in the same session.

Cause

The whole window of the published application redrew on a mouseover event instead of just the portion that was visible, giving the impression that the application had stolen focus and was above all local apps.

Resolution

Resolved by installing CWA 2402 LTSR CU4 and above or CWA 2309.10 and above on the Windows 10 Published Desktop, which can be downloaded from: https://www.citrix.com/downloads/workspace-app/
