Description

Symptoms or Error: 
Auto-launch of published desktop is not working through web browser.
Correct option "Auto launch desktop" is marked in Store Web settings.

Cause

We require this feature because it is necessary for the browser to detect the presence of the Citrix Workspace App (CWA). This detection enables the browser to appropriately redirect the session to the CWA. Without this capability, the browser environment is unable to launch the desktop, as the browser lacks the mechanism to ascertain whether the CWA is installed on the endpoint device.

Resolution

Steps for Admin:

>> Open Storefront console and select Manage receiver for websites > Configure > Advance settings > enable Protocol handler as below screenshot

Steps for User:

>> Now clear the cache of the web browser and launch the store URL.
>> We should get the "Open Citrix Workspace Launcher" pop up.

>> Check the always allow box as below

>> Click Open Citrix Workspace Launcher
Upon completion of the above configuration, the auto-launch functionality for the published desktop will operate successfully.
