Possible Reasons

1. Reporting Interval

• Citrix Cloud evaluates license usage every five minutes.

• As a result, there may be a delay in reflecting live usage on the Licensing page. Data is not updated instantaneously with each new session connection.

2. Licensing Model

• The way licenses are assigned depends on the licensing model (User/Device vs. Concurrent User).

• For Concurrent User licenses, a license is assigned when a user launches an app or desktop, but this assignment is updated only every five minutes.

• Therefore, live usage may not appear immediately on the Licensing page.

3. User Session Management

• When users log off or disconnect from sessions, licenses are released.

• Released licenses may not show as available until the next reporting cycle, creating a perception that the Licensing page is not updating live.

4. Dashboard Configuration

• The dashboard must be configured to display the relevant metrics.

• Incorrect dashboard settings may limit the visibility of real-time data.

5. Licensing Console Limitations

• • There may be inherent limitations in the Licensing console regarding how frequently live data is displayed.

  • The system may prioritize aggregated data over real-time updates to maintain performance.
