This article describes how to return assigned licenses from the Licensing portal available in My Account.

Background

You can specify a new host ID type and host ID value to change the allocation of licenses from one license server to another license server.

Instructions

To access Manage Licenses on citrix.com

1. From a web browser, go to http://www.citrix.com.
2. Select Sign In > My Account and type your user ID and password.
3. Select Manage Licenses.
   
    
4. Select the check box of the license that you want to return.
5. From the Select an action menu, choose Return allocations.
6. Select Yes, process return. If you choose this option, you cannot undo it.

Note: Returning allocations puts the licenses back in the licensing pool. You can then allocate these licenses in any quantity at any time. For example, you’re decommissioning a License Server, but you’re not ready to deploy existing licenses elsewhere.
