Description

Virtual Loopback IP address is created  in the format 127.0.0. SessionID (+1).

MsEdge.exe and Powershell.exe are both added to the Citrix policy `"Virtual IP virtual loopback programs list"

However, this loopback redirection only works in PowerShell.

Environment

Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. Be sure to back up the registry before you edit it.

Cause

MSEdge.exe  is excluded from Citrix Hooking and thus cannot take part in Virtual Loopback.

Resolution

1. Please make sure the "msedge.exe" process is not part of the below registry key, as this would exclude all Citrix hooking to the process.

Path: HKLM:SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\CtxUvi
REG_KEY: UviProcessExcludes

2 Ensure  NetworkServiceSandboxEnabled setting. is not applied to the Edge browser . If this is the case MsEdge.exe will not be able to communicate with other processes .

For more info on this setting refer to the MS Docs under Reference section.

Issue/Introduction

Both MS Edge and Powershell are added to the Virtual IP virtual loopback programs list.

Powershell is able to to contact the virtual loopback IP . However MS Edge cannot contact the virtual loopback IP.
