Description

The Connection Center can be hidden using a client-side GPO setting  The same setting can be configured via or GPO via GACS in the case of unmanaged devices

Resolution

Follow steps from https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-workspace-app-for-windows/app-preferences.html#hiding-specific-settings-from-the-advanced-preferences-sheet

 

You can hide specific user-configurable settings from the Advanced Preferences sheet by using the Citrix Workspace app Group Policy Object administrative template. To hide the settings:

  1. Open the Citrix Workspace app Group Policy Object administrative template by running gpedit.msc.
  2. Under the Computer Configuration node, go to Administrative Templates > Citrix Workspace > Self Service > Advanced Preferences Options.
  3. Choose the option to hide Connection Center

The above setting will hide the Connection Center option from the Advanced Preference  tab. 

In addition if the latest CWA Windows is used then the Connection Center will also be hidden in the Systray.

Any version on or after CWA for Windows LTSR_2402 CU4.will have the change.

Issue/Introduction

It is desired to hide the Connection Center from users in CWA Windows .
