Description

After most recent upgrade of Web Studio users are not able to see newly published App-V packages/applications. This issue affects only newly published App-V applications.

Resolution

Temporary workaround is to manually set "PackagedApplicationVisibility" to a desired value (WorkspaceAndDesktop, Workspace, Desktop, or None) via PowerShell SDK:

  1. Install PowerShell SDK
  2. Authenticate to your tenant using "Get-XDAuthentication"
  3. Execute "Get-BrokerApplication -CommandLineExecutable ctxappvlauncher.exe | select Name, PackagedApplicationVisibility, Uid" to see all available App-V packages. Take a note of the Uid of applications with "None" value for "PackagedApplicationVisibility"
  4. Run the following PowerShell command to make application visible ("xxx" is the UID from the previous step):
    1. Get-BrokerApplication -UID xxx | Set-BrokerApplication -PackagedApplicationVisibility DesiredValue (where DesiredValue is one of the following: WorkspaceAndDesktop, Workspace, Desktop, or None)
  5. Execute "Get-BrokerApplication -CommandLineExecutable ctxappvlauncher.exe | select Name, PackagedApplicationVisibility, Uid" to ensure that all applications have proper values

NOTE: Citrix is aware of this issue and is currently working on resolving it permanently.

Problem Cause

A recent rollout of a new build of Web Studio has caused this unexpected behavior.
