Error updating an MCS catalog in Citrix DAAS

Environment

Caution! Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that might require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. Be sure to back up the registry before you edit it.

Resolution

  1. On the  the maaster  image, check the registry "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Provisioning\OMADM\Accounts"

    get the account id(it will be empty if the VM is not enrolled)


    2. then go to registry Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Enrollments\01C7BBFC-8FCF-4850-B6D9-5F69D68C15F9

    if the EnrollmentType = 6 and ProviderId="MS DM Server", it means MDM enrolled
    if the EnrollmentTYPE = 5 and ProviderId = "MAM SyncML Server", it means MAM enrolled.


 
 
 

First backup and then  delete the below  enrollment keys and try to update the catalog again.

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Enrollments

If above fails there is also a tool called GetAadJoinState.exe which can be used to remove the MDM enrollment . This is available from Citrix Support.

Problem Cause

The back end logs suggest the master image is MDM Enrolled.
