This article explains the meaning of the characters/icons shown on the NetScaler MPX LCD display

 


Instructions

The LCD utilizes specific characters and patterns to denote the status of network interfaces:

  • S~G: Indicates that one network interface is currently UP . If two interfaces are UP, the display will show S~GG.
  • :This icon means the interface is DOWN.
  • R~□: Means the port is connected . If two interfaces are connected, the display will show R~□□.

In the following example:

It  indicates that only one interface is connected and it is currently UP. Other interfaces shown on the LCD are not connected.

It's important to note that the LCD normally cycles through a series of different display screens, with port status being just one of several types of information presented in rotation.
