Citrix.Monitor.exe is gradually taking up ram memory on the Delivery Controller.

Number of threads increases every day (200+).

Memory usage is very high (1GB+).

Process memory dump shows a lot of threads with ‘SendMessagesToPendo’ on the call stack.

Resolution

You can disable Pendo notifications.

  • On the Delivery Controller open PowerShell as administrator.
  • Run command: Set-MonitorConfiguration -DisablePendoTrackEvents $true
  • Restart Citrix Monitor service on all Delivery Controllers.

 

The issue has been resolved in Current Release 2503 and LTSR 2402 CU2.

It will also be fixed in the Independent release of Director for LTSR included with 2402 CU3.


Problem Cause

Citrix Monitor service is unable to send events successfully.
