When booting a PVS target using a BDM with static IP and having DHCP enabled in the vdisk, Windows may be missing its subnet mask.
Static IPs in BDM are intended for environments that do not have DHCP services. The IP address used from the BDM during the boot phase is persisted by default in the PVS target device network adaptor for the booted lifespan of the target device. Since the BDM is configured to use a static IP, the image should also be set to use static IP. Setting Windows to use DHCP when static network information is being injected can cause unintended behavior and is not recommended.
The IP mode of the BDM (static) does not match the IP mode of the image (DHCP).
