Sometimes it may be necessary to save trace data to a shared network folder, for example, crash/hang issues with non-persistent VDAs or due to local disk space constraints.
Download the CDFControl tool from Citrix CDFControl Tool.
On the machine where trace will be written to the shared folder, grant Read/Write permission to Domain Computers.
2. Configure CDFControl to reference the network share path.
If using the UI to install the CDFControl service, provide the shared network trace path as follows:
If using the command line, provide the network location for -path parameter as follows:
CDFControl.exe -installservice -guids TraceProvider.ctl -path \\AWVDA-1X7CU\NonPersistentVdaTrace
3. Install CDFControl as a service as per CDFControl as Service. Traces will be captured to the network folder and logged under the IP address of the traced machine.
