Cloud Software Group has decided to end of sale (EOS), and end of renewal (EOR) XenServer Standard and Premium Edition stand-alone offerings on June 3rd, 2024. This change is designed to simplify our product line and deliver superior value and user experience to our customers.

From June 3rd onwards, XenServer Premium Edition is included as an entitlement in all three Citrix subscription offerings:

• Citrix for Private Cloud
• Citrix Universal Hybrid Multi-Cloud
• Citrix Platform License

Scope of Changes

Customers who have purchased or subscribed to a stand-alone Citrix Hypervisor or XenServer offering.

Proposed Solution

Customers who purchase after June 3rd can allocate XenServer licenses from MyCitrix. To allocate the XenServer licenses, follow the steps in this article. You will be required to fill out a survey about your XenServer usage prior to allocation.

Citrix Customers who have not yet transitioned to one of the above offerings or transitioned before June 3rd have the option to access unlimited socket licenses of the new XenServer 8 through a promotional offer, at no cost, until their next renewal date.

XenServer is designed and optimized to support Citrix on-prem deployments. Customers that chose to deploy XenServer for general server virtualization use cases need to ensure that the products meet their needs. Read more at XenServer Support.

Impact and Outcome

Customers who have maintenance or subscription expiring between June 3rd and December 1st 2024, will have their maintenance or subscription extended to December 1, 2024 at no cost. This is made to allow for time to transition to an option that best fulfills the needs of the customer.

Customers will remain fully supported for the length of their current maintenance or subscription.
