As per migration guidance, Google is going to deprecate the FCM legacy APIs for HTTP, which is currently used in our Citrix Endpoint Management (CEM) FCM implementation. The migration deadline is on June 21, 2024.
Customers need to migrate the FCM from legacy FCM API to HTTP v1 API. With the release of CEM 24.6.0, Citrix XenMobile Server 10.15 Rolling Patch 7 and 10.16 Rolling Patch 1, the migration code is available. Customers need to upload to CEM their new Service Account Key file downloaded from the Firebase project.
Note : Not following the procedure to migrate to the new FCM by June 21, 2024 will impact end users getting push notifications and/or policy updates on managed Android devices.
For Citrix XenMobile Server customers, please manually update the value of server property afw.fcm.httpv1.migration to true.
Please be aware that the feature flag will be turned on for all customers running Citrix Endpoint Management from June 21, 2024. By then you don't need to open the case any more, but to continue using FCM, you have to reconfigure it following step 2. and more details in Additional Resources below
