After running the PVS installer for 2311 or greater the configuration wizard runs as expected.  When running the wizard the console user is only presented with 2 options when configuring the database parameters:

1. Join Existing
2. Create Farm

The Farm is already configured option is no longer present.  There are no pop-up warnings or errors to this point.

The workaround is to choose "join existing farm", this allows the DB to be upgraded upon completion of the configuration wizard inserting the proper values into the DB that caused the option "farm is already configured" to be missing. After this upgrade completes if you were to run the wizard again, you will find that all 3 DB join options are available.

Problem Cause

Provisioning Services 2308 provided support for IPv6.  When upgrading PVS from a version prior to 2308 to a version greater than 2308 the wizard fails to find these missing values, leaving only two DB options available during the upgrade.   This problem has been identified and fixed in PVS versions greater than 2311.  This will be tracked in the Product fixed issues section under CVADHELP-24650.
