Description

  1. Customer has moved from 7.15 to DAAS with WEM on cloud, Since then they are facing issues with printers intermittently
  2. Issue is occurring with all the users( Admins and non Admins)
  3. Issue got auto resolved post 15-20 minutes and sometimes users need to close the application and they able to print again
  4. Assigning printer is accomplished via WEM and policies are coming via AD GPO
  5. Issue is not limited to any specific printer , it occurs to all the printers intermittently.

 


Instructions

It has been observed that the application widely used for sending print was Adobe.
most likely an issue with the application(Adobe acrobat reader) not able to identify the communication between UPS server and UPS client and that is why when the user tries to connect to the UNC path of UPS server it connects fine, however they need to close the application and start a new instance  as a workaround.

Fixed by below steps:-

Uncheck "Enable Protected mode at startup" in preferences:-
