Resolution
For now, there is no identified fix for restrictions that have been made permanent. If restrictions have already been made permanent, the only resolution is to:
- Remove the work profile or factory reset the device.
Notes:
- Google has shared patches with OEMs to take in their next Android 14 OTA. These patches will only prevent issue 2 if it is the first Android 14 OTA installed on a device. If the device has already upgraded to Android 14 and experienced issue 2, these patches will not affect the device.
- Google is actively investigating if restrictions that have already been made permanent for affected Android 14 devices can be remediated.
We are actively following this issue and will update this article as more information becomes available regarding a resolution
