Description

Netscaler VPX on ESXi got rebooted automatically

Resolution

If ESXi Host is upgraded to any version, the associated VM for Netscaler should also be upgraded to the latest one listed for the VM.
Switching to recommended setting as per our qualification would be the best solution.

Problem Cause

There are some chances where VM gets auto rebooted and on investigation it is suspected to be a version compatibility issue on version between VM and ESX.

Version level incompatibility issues are not logged anywhere. It has been based on prior customer issues and our qualifications/recommendations.

The vmtools agent running in the guest could have triggered that reboot, We are not sure VMWare proprietary ESXI logs it anywhere.
