Description

To verify what may be using disk space on a storefront server where the admin has received an alert that the server is low on disk space

Instructions

Sometimes an admin, may receive alerts that a storefront server is running out of disk space and may need to isolate if it is a storefront issue or an OS level issue.

Here is the approach we reccommend:
  1. Check the size of C:\inetpub, if this is very large, first, snapshot all your storefront servers, then see if any logs can be cleared from the IIS cache: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/iis/extensions/configuring-application-request-routing-arr/delete-cached-objects ..if you are unsure, please contact Citrix technical support for assistance.
  2. Check the size of the C:\temp directory - if this is large, try determine why, contact Citrix Technical Support for assistance if required.
  3. If neither of these are large, then the issue is unlikely to be Citrix Storefront related and you should treat this as a normal OS level disk space issue and try determine why space is being used (e.g. user profiles, other applications installed, security products, windows updates etc.)
