Description
To verify what may be using disk space on a storefront server where the admin has received an alert that the server is low on disk space
Instructions
Sometimes an admin, may receive alerts that a storefront server is running out of disk space and may need to isolate if it is a storefront issue or an OS level issue.
Here is the approach we reccommend:
- Check the size of C:\inetpub, if this is very large, first, snapshot all your storefront servers, then see if any logs can be cleared from the IIS cache: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/iis/extensions/configuring-application-request-routing-arr/delete-cached-objects ..if you are unsure, please contact Citrix technical support for assistance.
- Check the size of the C:\temp directory - if this is large, try determine why, contact Citrix Technical Support for assistance if required.
- If neither of these are large, then the issue is unlikely to be Citrix Storefront related and you should treat this as a normal OS level disk space issue and try determine why space is being used (e.g. user profiles, other applications installed, security products, windows updates etc.)
