Description

Steps to set up load balancing for Exchange Servers in Endpoint Management to ensure high availability and seamless user experiences.

Instructions

1. Load Balancing Setup:
  • In the Netscaler GUI under Citrix Gateway virtual server, select Traffic Management > Load Balancing > Virtual Servers > Add
  • Create a new virtual server and bind each Exchange server.
  • This configuration ensures that if one Exchange server goes offline, the Netscaler will automatically forward traffic to another server.

2. DNS Configuration:
  • Create an address record in your DNS for the new name you established. This address will be used for the Secure Mail MDX policy and will point to the IP of the virtual server.
  •  You can do this either locally on the Netscaler or on the DNS server used by the Netscaler for name resolution.

Note:  Users must reinstall Secure Mail as they must configure it to connect through the load balancer or proxy and to ensure app updates.
