Description

  • Administrators are unable to power on some VDA machines via Citrix Cloud Studio.
  • Machines are able to start if powered on directly via Hypervisor.
  • Administrators are able to power off machines via Citrix Cloud works fine. 
  • On the troubleshoot details in Cloud Studio, it states that "The virtual machine experienced issues when attempting to start on the hypervisor." and "Reset VM operation delayed for VmId=(ID), OperationId=(ID).

All affected machines have "Pending Update: Yes" status.

Resolution

  1. Turn off and re-enable autoscale 
    • The power actions should clear and machines should no longer be in pending update state.

Once removed from this state, machines were able to be powered on in Studio again.

Problem Cause

Issue likely due to power management pending tasks.
