Using Citrix Workspace app for HTML5, or Citrix Workspace app for iOS, on an iPad, to launch a virtual Windows desktop, tap the screen to start inputting/editing in the session, the Windows VDA side on-screen keyboard may show up, instead of the iOS native touch keyboard.

Resolution

Option 1: Turn off this setting on the Windows VDA, it could be found in Windows Setting/System/Tablet/Change addition tablet settings. Option 2: Enable the auto-soft keyboard popup on the CWA HTML5 client setting, then the iOS touch keyboard will pop up automatically, and remote touch keyboard will be suppressed, please refer to: https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-workspace-app-for-html5/configure.html#to-enable-the-auto-soft-keyboard-popup ​​​​​​​

Problem Cause

It’s caused by the Windows OS setting “Show the touch keyboard when there’s no keyboard attached”.
